Thirty-nine squares of standing seam metal on a 6/12 pitch is a meaningful job — not because
6/12 is extreme, but because it’s steep enough that every panel placement matters and there’s
nowhere to hide a sloppy seam. This Venice homeowner wanted metal, and they wanted it done
correctly. That’s exactly what they got.
We pulled the full tear-off first, stripped the deck, and ran a complete inspection before any new
material went up. The 6/12 pitch gave the panels a clean run and let the standing seam profile
read well from the street — one of the things that makes metal roofing look genuinely good on a
Florida residential home rather than just functional. Panel runs were measured and cut to length,
seamed by hand, and trimmed out at the ridgeline and eaves to finish the system properly.
