A 5,826 square foot condo building roof is a different animal than a single-family home. More
surface area, more units affected, more coordination required — and a material decision that
impacts how every resident in the building experiences their home for the next several decades.
The property manager here chose GAF Westlake tile, and it was the right call for a Florida condo
in this market.
We staged the tear-off in a way that kept the project moving without creating extended exposure
windows on any single section of the building. Full deck inspection followed the removal — on a
condo structure that size, the deck condition can vary significantly from one end to the other, and
we addressed what we found before any tile went on. GAF Westlake tile was set to manufacturer
spec with proper mortar and field tile installation, hip and ridge tile finished, and all flashing
conditions brought current.
The project ran ten days from start to finish. 5,826 square feet of condo roofing — torn off,
inspected, and re-tiled clean.
