Flat Roof Done Right — Port Charlotte Mod Bit Install

Services Provided

What We Did

A full modified bitumen roofing system was installed at this Port Charlotte property on Catherine Ave. The existing flat roofing system was torn off and disposed of, followed by a complete deck inspection across the entire low-slope surface before any new material went down. The substrate was cleaned and prepped, then a base sheet was mechanically fastened across the full field. Modified bitumen cap sheet was then torched down in overlapping courses, with all seams heat-welded and fully adhered throughout. All perimeter edges were terminated and secured under metal edging, all penetrations and pipe boots were wrapped, flashed, and sealed tight, drains were properly integrated into the membrane, and the surface was inspected end to end before the site was cleaned on completion.

Project Overview

Roof Install Professional Modified Bitumen Flat Roof Installation

Port Charlotte is a Southwest Florida community where flat and low-slope roofs are common — and where the combination of intense sun, heavy rain, and hurricane season puts every roofing system to the test year after year. A modified bitumen system done correctly is one of the most reliable answers to that challenge, and this property on Catherine Ave got exactly that.

Torch-applied modified bitumen across a fully prepped flat deck, with welded seams, integrated drains, and tight perimeter terminations throughout. No shortcuts, no bridging over bad substrate — just a clean system installed the right way from edge to edge. The kind of flat roof that handles whatever Florida throws at it and keeps the inside dry for the next twenty years.
